Children Sharing the Greatest Gift

Children Sharing the Greatest Gift

Why Children’s Discipleship Matters

In the northern Kwania district of Uganda, hope is rising in the hearts of children because one local leader said yes to the call of discipleship. We met Ofwoyrwoth Emmanuel, a children’s facilitator at Emin Baptist Church, after he attended our Hope For Kids evangelistic discipleship training. What God stirred in him is exactly why this ministry exists.

Emmanuel shared:

“This training is so exciting, especially in bringing out practical teaching like the use of hand actions, illustrations to share the Gospel with children, and easy-to-memorize verses. My understanding, knowledge, and skills have increased drastically and so has my biblical knowledge. I learned management and planning skills to deliver effective and impactful lessons to the children.”

Then he added something every church longs to hear:

“With the knowledge and skills I have acquired, I will train my children in church to know about Jesus Christ, to receive Him, teach them to grow in their faith through the true knowledge of God, and encourage them to witness to their fellow children in schools and neighborhoods.”

This is what multiplication looks like. One trained leader. Dozens of transformed children. Countless Gospel conversations rippling into families, schools, and communities.

Please pray for Emmanuel and for local church children’s facilitators like him as they teach the Good News and disciple children who will share the Gospel boldly where they live.

What Makes Discover Club Effective for Children’s Ministry

The momentum in places like Kwania is exactly why Discover Club exists. The Discover Club is Level 2 of our Hope For Kids curriculum. It is now being field-tested in local churches across Africa, and God is already moving through it. Discover Club is a 12-unit discipleship curriculum created to help children grow in their faith through the five means of spiritual growth—Bible, Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, and Witnessing—with additional lessons on salvation and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

This curriculum helps children:
 • Truly know who Jesus is
 • Respond to Him personally
 • Develop spiritual habits that sustain lifelong faith
 • Share the Gospel as a natural rhythm of life

Each lesson is built to be practical, engaging, and biblically rich—empowering leaders like Emmanuel to teach with confidence and children to grow with joy.

Discover Club is now in its soft launch—being tested in churches and schools in Africa and the US. After the testing phase, we will continue translating it into more languages so that even more children can be discipled through this resource.

A Vision Worth Bringing to Your Church

Imagine what would happen if the children in your church were trained the way Emmanuel’s students will be. Imagine them learning Scripture with excitement, understanding the Gospel clearly, and sharing their faith with friends on the playground, in classrooms, and in their neighborhoods.

This isn’t theory. It’s happening right now.

The Gospel shared by a child carries a simplicity and sincerity that can soften even the hardest hearts. Churches around the world are seeing entire families reengage with faith because their children brought the light of Christ home.

Your church can be part of that story.

Children Sharing the Greatest Gift of All

As we celebrate the wonder of Jesus’s birth this season, we’re reminded that the Gospel is the greatest gift ever given. And one of the greatest acts of love is equipping children to share that gift with others.

Will you join us in praying for Discover Club and Hope For Kids this month? And will you consider bringing Discover Club into your church so that your children can be discipled, equipped, and unleashed as Gospel bearers in your community?

The harvest is great. The children are ready. Let’s give them the tools to share Christ with boldness and joy.

May God richly bless you as you invest in the next generation of young evangelists. To learn how to pray for and share with those you are around this Christmas season, read my last blog post: https://www.sharelife.today/2025/11/21/prayer-during-the-holidays/
