Impacting the World for Christ
Do you know a young person who wants to change the world? Well today, it seems that young people have an endless fountain of passion for impacting the world. And that’s great! But what if we could direct that passion toward transforming the world with the Good News of the Gospel?
DRAWING YOUNG PEOPLE TO CHRIST
In the book of Acts, we read about Paul who said, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.” And that message of hope changed the world for all of eternity. It is our privilege and joy to raise up the next generation, to carry on the Good News of Jesus, and to disciple believers who will carry out Kingdom work. They will be impacting the world regardless as their generation become the leaders of churches, businesses, and communities. So let us take the time to intentionally disciple the teenagers around us to be able to share their faith.
MAKING DISCIPLES
Did you know that research shows only 19% of Christian teens have been discipled to share their faith?* That number is staggering! Teens today need teaching and support in discipleship, identity, and truths of the Christian faith.
Well, here’s what we believe is part of the solution…have you heard of Faith Talks? Faith Talks is Evangelism Explosion’s newest curriculum that focuses on discipling high school students to effectively share their faith. Throughout the training, teenagers will engage the Biblical basis of evangelism, be equipped with a Gospel outline they can share with their friends, and encounter the transformative power of the Gospel.
Faith Talks is being launched this fall! I am so excited for what God is going to do through the next generation…and how God will change the world through them.
Pastor Johnny, a brand-new teacher of Faith Talks, states, “Getting Faith Talks implemented in youth groups is going to help student ministries, churches, and communities realize that they play a part in sharing the Gospel. If they have the Holy Spirit and they’re following Jesus, it’s going to help them all see that they are called to share their faith!”
And what a big part that is! High schoolers will be equipped to reach out to friends, families, and sports teams, and saturate their communities for God.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
How can you be a part of this? There are three things you can do. Firstly, you can pray! Pray for the teachers, leaders, and students that will be making the commitment to sharing the Gospel with the lost. Be praying for world-changers!
Secondly, pray for the Lord to lead you to disciple a young person. Serve in your local church and connect with young people. They are craving spiritual mentorship!
Thirdly, deepen your walk with Christ. We cannot teach what we do not know ourselves. Study the Word, pray, and seek Godly counsel so you can be prepared to pour into others. And if you do not know how to share your faith, we are here to help! Take our online training at www.sharelife.university or, better yet, join a training near you by visiting our events page: https://evangelismexplosion.org/events/. Also, you or your church could start discipling teens through Faith Talks! Learn more by visiting www.faithtalks.com.
